Get in the Game
Not sure where to start or how to navigate towards a successful career in Film or Games? Having a plan can be extremely helpful to figure out where you want to go, what studios and projects you want to work on, and how to get there. This workshop will help guide students from different art entertainment disciplines plot a route to career success and demystify the job application process. This course will focus on all aspects for applying and getting your first job as a professional artist.

Learn how to develop a stellar resume and portfolio that recruiters want to see. Showcase your skills and learn how to prepare and present yourself for an interview setting, and practice the right answers to likely interview questions. This is a rare opportunity to receive direct feedback and insight from an industry recruiter. There will also be a chance to get a portfolio review from a professional artist to provide more in-depth feedback from an artist’s perspective. Students will leave the workshop with improved skills in terms of applying for jobs, interviewing, and interacting with potential employers. By the end of this workshop, students will have an updated resume and portfolio that puts their best work forward and have a solid understanding of what employers typically look for in portfolios.
