THIS COURSE IS IN DEVELOPMENT

Polish is the final step to bringing animated characters to life and is paramount in making the audience believe what they see on screen. In this course, students will strengthen their ability to create refined movement and believability of thought and decision making, while deepening a sense of credibility in their characters. Students will receive individual guidance on the areas they need to focus on to bring the extra life and appeal to their animation and bring their work to the highest feature-quality level. Students will animate new acting shots, as well as polish high-potential work from prior classes, and put it together in a demo reel. Additionally, the course will go over what elements give successful demo reels an advantage when reviewed by recruiters, as well as common pitfalls to avoid. The ultimate goal of this class is to dramatically increase the quality of students’ work and create or improve a professional demo reel showcasing their animating skills and dazzling industry recruiters.
