THIS COURSE IS IN DEVELOPMENT

This course focuses solely on acting shots, such as character dialogues and pantomime acting choices. It builds on prior material but goes deeper and further, showing varied strategies in approaching acting for animation to find meaningful and heartfelt performances. The course will cover useful tips and tricks for the blocking, in-progress, and final animation stages. Students will integrate believable body mechanics with effective acting and go deeper into subtext to discover their characters’ internal thought processes in contrast to external acting choices. The goal is always the same: bring characters to life–to make them move, feel, breathe, and most importantly, think. This class is for students with an advanced skill level.
